Eight large piles of rubble have been fly-tipped in Welwyn Garden City.

The rubble was spotted yesterday between Knella Road and the woods.

Residents quickly reported the mess to the council.

A spokeswoman for Welwyn Hatfield Council said: “On the afternoon of September 8, we received notification of a fly-tip in the woods near Knella Road.

“A street cleaning team will be attending the site to clear the illegally dumped rubble.”
