LEADING councillors are tomorrow (Tuesday) night set to approve the release of �13,000 - to buy a new envelope machine.
Assuming the purchase is approved, Welwyn Hatfield Council will also have to fork out �1,130 a year from 2010 onwards to maintain the device.
The council's existing envelope machine, which processes approximately 1,200 letters each week, is now 10 years old.
