Councillors voted through Welwyn Hatfield's annual financial plan last night, including the first rise in council tax for eight years.
The Conservative cabinet’s budget for the 2017/18 year starting in April was agreed at a special full meeting of Welwyn Hatfield Council.
The budget includes a rise in the borough council’s share of council tax of about two and a half per cent, increasing annual bills by about £5 for a Band D home.
