Welwyn Hatfield Council’s civic awards nominations open

NOMINATIONS are now open for the 2011 Welwyn Hatfield Council’s Civic Awards.

The scheme is an opportunity for residents to nominate someone they know has shown extraordinary commitment, dedication, energy and effort in their field or towards achieving a particular goal.

The Civic Awards, sponsored by Serco, are presented annually to people who live or work in the borough, for a range of achievements.

The winners will be presented with their prizes at the annual council meeting and reception on May 23 next year.

Prizes consist of a cheque for 250, a certificate, a trophy and an entry in the council’s roll of honour book.
