An online payment glitch on the Welwyn Hatfield Council website has been resolved.

Community members took to social media this morning to warn others about an issue with the payment system, which they claimed had caused multiple payments to come out of their bank account in error.

A council spokesperson said: “We had a minor issue with the connection to our online payment system this morning, which was swiftly resolved.

“This only affected a very small number of transactions, but if any residents have concerns we encourage them to contact us on 01707 357000.”
