Welwyn Hatfield Council is currently completing £200k maintenance work at its Welwyn Garden City offices.

The Campus base has recently been covered in scaffolding, which a borough council spokeswoman has confirmed is part of maintenance work expected to last around 15 weeks.

She said: “We are carrying out a range of essential maintenance works, including replacing old windows that are no longer fit for purpose, repairing and cleaning the clock, repointing brickwork and mending guttering which currently leaks down the face of the building.

“£200k from our maintenance budget has been set aside for the work and we hope it will be completed in around 15 weeks.”
