Bin collections were disrupted because of operational issues earlier this week, Welwyn Hatfield Council confirmed.

A council spokeswoman said brown bins (garden waste) were not collected on nine roads on Monday, February 8, because a vehicle broke down.

Most areas affected were in Welwyn, and included Willow Walk, Mill Lane, Mimram Road, Mimram Walk, Lockleys Farm, Pennyfathers Lane and Vera Lane.

Households in Tewin Water and White Horse Lane in Woolmer Green were also affected.

The spokeswoman confirmed crews returned the following morning to collect the bins.
