FURTHER belt-tightening measures are being planned at Welwyn Hatfield Council the Welwyn Hatfield Times can exclusively reveal – as the authority looks to cut a further �2 MILLION from next year’s budget.
After announcing plans to chop �1.7 million from the 2011/12 budget earlier this year, council bosses are being forced to face up to the reality of further drastic austerity measures, ahead of a Government announcement on spending cuts next month.
And it means the future state of public services in Welwyn Hatfield could be a lot worse than even originally feared.
