If you need some inspiration on how to keep your youngsters occupied this summer, look no further.

Welwyn Hatfield Council has a number of events taking place to help parents keep tots through to teens happy.

You can find out about all of these activities on Friday, August 3, when there will be demonstrations and taster sessions outside the Howard Centre from 11am until 4pm.

These will include a 5ft skate ramp for thrill-seekers and beginners alike, professional BMX and skateboarder demos and workshops, soft play and face painting for the little ones, arts and crafts, as well as bouncy castles.

In Hatfield, youngsters will have the chance to see and handle different animals.

Animal Crackers will be taking place on Wednesday, August 1, in White Lion Square, from 11am-3pm.

There will be donkey rides, a visit from Ark Farm (a mobile farm), a falconry display, live animal handling, face painting and much more.

In seven different locations across Welwyn Hatfield there will also be sports and art activities taking place daily.

These are suitable for boys and girls aged six to 12 and the free sessions last for two hours.
