Welwyn Hatfield cat charity desperately searches for forever home for Timmy
A Welwyn Hatfield charity is desperately trying to find a loving home for a nine-year-old cat after he has been overlooked due to a busy kitten season.
A particularly busy kitten season has resulted in some older cats such as nine-year-old Timmy being overlooked with owners choosing to home young cats instead.
Carolyne Smith, branch co-ordinator for Cats Protection’s Welwyn, Hatfield and District Branch said: “Timmy is a gorgeous cat with a sweet, gentle nature.
“Although Timmy is nervous at first, with time and patience he gradually gains confidence and his personality starts to flourish. “Timmy is very affectionate and loves being stroked, rubbing his face against you, and will also happily sit on your lap, or lie on you if you’re reading a book in bed.
“Once he feels settled, he also likes to play and will pounce on things that move in front of him.”
Timmy would like a quiet home where he can feel safe and where he would be the only pet.
He would also like to have access to the outdoors once he has had a suitable settling-in period at the loving home that he deserves.
As with all Cats Protection cats ready for rehoming, he is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, with all his flea and worm treatments up to date.
In addition to Timmy, Cats Protection’s Welwyn and Hatfield Branch have a number of other cats in their care, all looking for their loving homes. To arrange a time to meet Timmy or any of his fellow felines in need of homes call the branch’s helpline on 0345 371 1855 or visit http://www.cats.org.uk/welwynhatfield.
