Taxpayers in Welwyn Hatfield are likely to lose nearly £50,000 in business rates for companies that have gone bust.
The borough council cabinet has agreed to write off three debts, in total about £49,000, due from businesses in administration.
However, the authority may get some of its money back from the administrators, as an unsecured creditor.
