A WELWYN woman who gave up her job as an accountant for a career in modelling has set her sights on winning a national glamour competition.

Harriet Metzger is battling it out with girls across the country for the chance of being crowned Beach Babe 2011.

The 22-year-old, who has already taken part in Miss Herts 2007, as well as working on glamour and sports shoots, stands to win an exclusive photoshoot with a celebrity photographer in Thailand if she is victorious.

The former Monk’s Walk student told the Welwyn Hatfield Times the title, as well her career in modelling, meant so much to her that she had to resign from her role as an account executive to join up with agencies Promo Models and Supermodels.

She said: “I was working for Lesmar, a promotional merchandise company, but I needed to be able to do the modelling full time and make sure I am available at short notice.”

“It would be my dream to win as modelling is my life at the moment, I have given up my full time job to focus on my dream! And so far so good, I am really enjoying it.”

Harriet, who boasts a 32DD, 26in waistline, figure, is in the monthly second heat out of six.

Each month the top three girls win an exclusive shoot in babemag.com with a leading glamour photographer and qualify for September’s grand final, with the chance to win a beach shoot and luxury trip to Thailand.
