A Welwyn Garden City pre-school went yellow for the week to raise funds for a children’s charity.
Children and staff at Barn Close Pre-school all wore yellow and enjoyed a variety of yellow-themed activities last week.
The purpose of the week was to raise cash for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) in recognition of a former pupil, Daniel Harrison, now aged five, who has a rare liver disease.
Daniel’s mum Amy Harrison, who works at the pre-school, said: “After seeing the article in the WHT the other week, parents are also kindly sponsoring me for the skydive.
“I am overwhelmed by their generosity.”
Mrs Harrison hopes that by spreading awareness, it will help parents and professionals spot the signs and symptoms of liver disease in newborn babies.
She added: “Early diagnosis can save lives.
“A massive thank you to everyone who has supported.”
