THE mayor of Welwyn Hatfield is inviting war veterans and current army personnel to a special reception marking Armed Forces Day next week.
Councillor Howard Morgan will host the event on Monday in the Terrace Suite at Campus West, WGC, from 12.45pm.
Previously known as Veterans’ Day, Armed Forces day recognises the contribution made by members of the forces who have served, and continue to serve, across the world.
One of cllr Morgan’s mayoral charities for the year is Help For Heroes, which supports wounded British soldiers and their families returning from conflict overseas.
