Welwyn Garden City's TV talent show star faces a final hurdle before he can perform live to an audience of millions.

"For the knock out round I get to pick the song and how I do it.
I came up with a version of it myself, like I did with the blind audition, it is a chance for people to see me."

If Lee Glasson impresses his mentor Kylie Minogue in today’s (Saturday) knockout stage of The Voice UK, the 31-year-old will be through to the live stages.

On Lee’s last outing on the BBC One show he saw off a fellow member of Team Kylie, after performing a competitive duet version of The Killers When We Were Young.

Lee told the WHT: “In the battle round I had to work with another person.

“Some of the decision were not my own, the song choice, stuff like that, it was down to Kylie.

If Lee’s latest song is anything like his blind audition he will sail through, as his take on Kylie’s Can’t Get You Out of My Head has been viewed more than a million times on YouTube.

For Saturday’s showdown the insurance manager, who lives in Coventry but will soon return to Welwyn Garden City, will perform George Michael’s Careless Whisper.

Tune in tonight!

Lee will appear on the BBC One show today, which airs at 7.15pm.

“It’s going to be another one were people for the first 15 seconds are going to think what’s this song, then they will know,” said the former Monk’s Walk School student.

“There is a lot of hype around the blind auditions, for me I would say I am as proud of it as my blind audition.”
