A Welwyn Garden City teenager had his hairy legs waxed, all to raise funds for a children’s charity.

Tom Gepp raised cash for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) in honour of his younger brother Daniel Harrison, five, who has a rare liver disease.

Tom, who is a Stanborough School pupil, had his legs waxed on Friday, March 4, at All About Me in Welwyn Garden City.

Mum Amy Harrison said: “Tom was apprehensive before the appointment. He coped very well for the first couple of minutes and then the pain kicked in. I joined Tom and Paige Thackerey the beautician in the treatment room alongside his school friend Jess.

“We all found it hilarious to watch as Tom turned white at times in agony.”

Tom said: “It really hurt and I wouldn’t want to do it again, but it was worth it knowing that I raised that amount of money for CLDF.”
