PUPILS have written to the president of Iran after attending an Amnesty International conference.
After hearing presentations on domestic violence, human trafficking and women in Iran, the students from Monk's Walk School's sixth-form were motivated into action.
They heard how one in four women in England will be subject to domestic violence in their lifetime.
One student said: "The conference raised significant awareness about the dangers that British and international women face today."
The teenagers also placed pink handprints on a 'stop violence against women' banner that will now be permanently displayed in the sixth-form common room.
