The Gosling Sports Park celebrated the fifth birthday of its spa and beauty treatment centre last week.

Welwyn Hatfield deputy mayor Les Page was among the guests who attended a party at the spa, known as The Retreat, on Tuesday, October 1.

The guests enjoyed treatments including facials, massages, and manicures at the spa, which was established in the former bowls hall in 2008.

Manager Stacey Carpenter said: “It was a wonderful way to celebrate our fifth birthday and showcase the fantastic facilities here at The Retreat.

“Everyone enjoyed the evening and some after-work pampering.

“We particularly enjoyed showing guests our recent Hollywood glamour-style makeover of our relaxation room, where we will be offering pamper parties and sparkle parties for children.”

Five years after its birth, The Retreat is now attended by more than 2,500 people a year.
