A Welwyn Garden City mum who transformed her life by losing six stone has won an award for helping more than 100 people in the town to change their lives.

Emma Reeves, 33, has been awarded ‘Silver’ status by Slimming World after only nine months as a group leader.

The award is given to Slimming World Consultants who have 100 members or more in their group come back week after week.

The mum-of-one became a consultant because she wanted to help others achieve the same success that she had.

Emma said: “Losing weight made me feel happier and healthier and gave me so much more confidence.

“Seeing the members in my group reach their target weight is so rewarding and receiving this award is just the icing on the cake.”

Emma’s group meets every Thursday at 5.30pm and 7.30pm at the United Reformed Church, in Church Road, Welwyn Garden City.

For more information about her group call Emma on 07534 530084.
