Peartree Primary School’s youngsters created a selection of ‘thank you’ cards for councillor Lynne Sparks to use during her tenure as Welwyn Hatfield mayor.

She said: “I visited Peartree School when I was mayor previously and really loved the school and its values, so I thought Peartree school would be a perfect choice to design my cards.

“I’m delighted with the results. The children’s designs were wonderful and the poems were fabulous.

“I loved all the designs especially the ones that incorporated the school’s values. It was too difficult to choose just one winning design and everyone is a winner as I’m going to have more than one card printed.

“I’d like to thank the school and children for their help and support with this project.”
