A Welwyn Garden City woman has seen a jumper she knitted used in a new film about British ski-jump hero Eddie the Eagle.

Juliet Bernard, 53, met the stars Hugh Jackman and Taron Egerton at last month’s London premiere of the film, which dramatises how Michael “Eddie the Eagle” Edwards became a heroic failure at 1988 Calgary Olympics.

Juliet, who runs a PR company for the knitting industry, said: “I remember we all followed him, although we all knew he wasn’t goimg to get a medal.”
