A Welwyn Garden City celebrity is backing a breast cancer campaign by supporting supermarkets across Hertfordshire raise money.
Welwyn Garden City-born star, Lisa Snowdon, is supporting Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign, raising funds to support breast cancer charities.
The initiative is now in its 20th year and supports breast cancer charities Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now.
One of the nation’s best loved radio and TV presenters, Lisa joined other celebrities including Michelle Heaton, Sam Faiers, Coleen and Linda Nolan in showing their support for the campaign, including modelling the new Tickled Pink fashion range.
The ‘Proud to be Pink’ fashion range is on sale now in Asda stores and online, with proceeds donated to the charities.
Lisa, a former Strictly Come Dancing contestant said: “Like so many of us, my family has been affected by breast cancer.
“One in eight women are diagnosed which is far too many of our mums, grandmothers, sisters and friends.
“I am proud to support Asda’s Tickled Pink which has transformed the work of two charities and has incredibly raised more than £48 million over the last 20 years.
“The funds have provided vital support to millions of people diagnosed with breast cancer and have enabled research to provide hope for future generations.”
Colleagues from Asda stores in the region, including Hatfield, Stevenage, Ware and Hoddesdon, are now calling on their local communities to help support them in their fundraising efforts.
Customers can help support this year’s fundraising efforts either by making a donation online, in store, or by purchasing Tickled Pink products available throughout October.
