More than 100 Welwyn Garden City residents had their say on Brexit when Open Britain campaigners came town.
Members of the public filled out surveys detailing their Brexit hopes and fears, chatted to volunteers and some even signed up to help out in future.
On Saturday, campaigners pitched up in front of Waterstones in Howardsgate as part of Open Britain’s National Day of Action.
Volunteer team leader Michael Havis said: “We talked to dozens of people from both sides of the debate.
“What we all had in common was wanting the best deal for Britain; nobody voted to make us poorer last June.
“It’s important that we continue to make ourselves heard throughout the Brexit process and that’s what this was all about.
“Thanks to everyone who came out and chatted and did our survey. And thanks for being so welcoming — I’m proud to live in such a friendly town.”
Open Britain states online that it is a cross-party, grass roots campaign ‘leading the fight against a hard, destructive Brexit’.
