STUDENTS at Lakeside School in WGC have completed the bronze Duke of Edinburgh award (DoE).
The youngsters at the special needs school in Lemsford Lane received certificates at a ceremony.
Students had to participate in a variety of activities to earn the award, including learning to sail, keeping fit and working at a care home.
They also completed two expeditions on board a boat on the Grand Union canal.

Deputy head Gill Lander, who organises the DoE awards at the school, said: "It was rewarding to see the students learn to steer the boat, operate the locks and develop their cooking skills.
"The awards are well deserved by the students, who have all worked very hard to achieve it.
