THE alcohol licence of a WGC pub is to be reviewed.

Police have asked Welwyn Hatfield Council to undertake a licensing review of the Oak Tavern, in Moors Walk, Panshanger.

A police spokeswoman said: "We believe the premise is undermining the licensing objectives of the prevention of crime and disorder, protection of children from harm and public nuisance (assaults and disorder, sale or consumption of alcohol by under 18s and excess noise)."

A 28-day consultation period will end on June 18. That will be followed by a hearing of the council's licensing committee.
