The day, organised by Russell Owen and Martyn McGuinness in aid of a trust fund for Scott’s daughter Ebony, took place at Welwyn Garden City Golf Club.

Mr Owen told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “It proved to be a great success with 60 golfers taking to the course in the bright sunshine.

“The winners on the course were a team put in by Eurocell, with Russell Newman, Andy Hart, Lee Carter and Ian Sutherland, with a great score of 99 points.”

But he said the real winner was Scott’s daughter “with the guys raising a fantastic £5,000 for the trust fund”.

He said the day had “massive support” and well-wishers “had donated some great prizes for the auction and the raffle”.

Charity worker Scott was murdered by Paul Dillon, who was jailed for life in July. Scott, 26, died from his injuries after the stabbing in Little Hardings on March 16 this year.
