A Welwyn Garden City mum is hosting work shops to help new parents calm their babies and raise their confidence.
Becky Bohan, of Cole Grove, trained as a Baby Calm teacher after the birth of her daughter in 2011 and now runs workshops in the area.
Baby Calm seeks to teach parents “tricks and steps” to help parents calm their babies and gain confidence.
The mother-of-two said: “Parents often feel relief that there is another way to do it.
“[They learn] they can pick up their baby and give them a cuddle and not just let them cry.
"Baby Calm should really be called parent calm, it is about raising realistic expectations."
“New parents often get people telling them what to do and we tell them it’s not about that.
“It is about doing what feels right for them, and then they feel like they can relax a bit about it.”
She added: “Baby Calm should really be called parent calm, it is about raising realistic expectations.”
The 34-year-old has also recently qualified as a sling consultant, teaching parents to carry their babies.
She would now like to find a permanent space in Welwyn Garden City where she can host workshops.
At the moment Becky offers private workshops for couples and group sessions, for people who would like to meet others in a similar situation, in Welwyn Garden City and Hatfield.
