A MAN was thrown into Stanborough Lakes after defending his wife from a racist attack.
The 48-year-old white man from WGC was forcibly manhandled into the water after a row.
Police believe a group of four men, fishing at the lakes, with two Staffordshire Bull Terriers where involved in a verbal altercation, in which a 38-year-old WGC woman of Indian origin was abused.
Four Stevenage men were arrested for ABH and released on bail.
