A businessman has told the Welwyn Hatfield Times how he has put together a sponsorship deal for television’s The Only Way is Essex worth more than £2 million.

Forner Stanborough School pupil Liam Roberston, 27. brokered a deal that has massively boosted sales for women’s clothing store chain Select Fashion, thanks to its exposure on the “scripted reality soap opera”.

He convinced the London-based Turks who run Select Fashion it had the ideal target audience - women between 16 and 34,
