A Welwyn Garden City man will be spending Christmas in prison after adding to his list of previous offences.

Ross Beech, 40, has been jailed for 20 weeks and banned from driving for 64 months.

Beech, who gave his address as the Travelodge in Welwyn Garden City, appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on November 19.

He admitted driving a Peugeot in Cecil Crescent, Hatfield, while banned from driving and without insurance on November 17.

Magistrates considered the offences to be especially serious given his extensive previous antecedents.

Beech was also ordered to pay victim services £115 and £85 court costs.
