AN inquest into the death of a 14-year-old boy from WGC has recorded a verdict of natural causes.
Matthew Pearson from Poppyfields died suddenly on Boxing Day, despite being apparently fit and healthy.
As previously reported in the Welwyn & Hatfield Times Matt's sister Rachel called an ambulance while his mum Sherry tried to give him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
Matt, a Sir Frederic Osborn School pupuil, was pronounced dead at Lister Hospital.
Coroner Edward Thomas, speaking at the inquest this morning (Thursday), said Matthew's death was tragic.
