Welwyn Garden City's previous high ropes operator, Finesse Leisure, along with Closer To The Edge, both pleaded guilty to health and safety breaches following a fall from the course in 2013.
A Finesse spokesman said: “This has been a difficult time for all those who were both present when the incident took place and in the period following.
“The added trauma of further legal action would not be of benefit to any of the parties involved and we have decided this is the right action to take.”
He added: “Users of our facilities such as Panshanger Golf Complex, Hatfield Swim Centre, Hatfield Leisure Centre and Stanborough Park, can rest assured that we will continue to provide the same high standard of service they have been used to in the years prior to, and following, this incident.
“As an organisation, Finesse Leisure has made it clear that we are sorry that this incident took place on our watch.
“And while this case has had such a serious consequence, we have made sure that health and safety is the bedrock on which our facilities are run, and that it is paramount that our business is based on continuous improvement.”
