A new restaurant in one of Welwyn Garden City’s oldest and most distinctive buildings will open this month, its freehold owner has confirmed.

Wells and Young’s brewery group has told the Welwyn Hatfield Times that a restaurant will open at The Beehive in Beehive Lane on January 23.

The Beehive, a listed building, was closed as a pub, to the fury of many regulars, by its leasehold owner, the InnBritain chain, last summer.
