Hall Grove Group Practice is the first GP service in Hertfordshire to receive a Purple Star Award, which was presented by Alison Fitzgerald, founder of the Purple Star Strategy, on Tuesday, July 5. Mayor of Welwyn Hatfield Pat Mabbott also attended the ceremony.

There are nine other Purple Star services across Hertfordshire.

Dr Martin Benfield, GP at Hall Grove and lead GP on the project, said: “Over the last year we’ve been working hard to achieve this award.

We’ve increased the number of patients attending for a high quality annual health check, and our team have undertaken additional training.”
