A GOLF club is going a fair way to help its members beat the credit crunch.

Mill Green Golf Club in WGC has added a redundancy clause to its membership packages.

This will allow golfers to suspend their membership should they lose their job because of the recession.

It can also be transferred to another person should the cost of membership, which starts from 495, become unaffordable.

General manager Tim Hudson said: "In the current economic climate we have to recognise the situation that many golfers may face in the coming months.

"We have taken these steps so golfers don't have to worry about the outlay.
