Three Welwyn Garden City fundraisers were among a group that completed 11 parkruns in one day for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
Self-professed “mad keen parkrunners” Scott Clarke, Paul Bliss, Steve Grout, from WGC, along with Chris Poole and Dave Llewellyn, took on the challenge earlier this month and raised £1,358.
Scott said: “We wanted to challenge ourselves and, following a recent celebration of parkrun in Hertfordshire, came up with the idea of running all 11 5k parkruns in the county on one Saturday.”
Completed runs included King George V Playing Fields, Ellenbrook Fields and Panshanger, which meant the group completed £57km in just one day. To donate visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Hertstourism17
