A FOOTBALL club has been forced to reduce the opening hours of its bar to cut costs.
At an emergency general meeting held on Sunday, WGC FC took the decision to only open the ground to social customers on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
The bar will also be open during mid week games.
Sources close to the Herns Way club, which plays in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division, have said debts of around �127,000 played a large part in the decision to reduce opening hours.

Football secretary Malcolm Kiely reassured fans the team would continue as normal, and that the next home game against Colney Heath would go ahead on Saturday as planned.
"There's no issue in terms of us being closed down," said Mr Kiely. "We just feel it is not affordable to keep the ground open all the time.
