Five fire crews tackled a blaze at a derelict building in Welwyn Garden City this afternoon.

They were called at 4.15pm to the building in Digswell Park Road.

Crews from Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage and St Albans attended the scene, and they took along their aerial ladder platform.

On arrival, they found smoke coming out of the building.

They used two pieces of breathing apparatus and one hose reel to put out the fire.
