A COUPLE from WGC are celebrating 50 years of marital bliss.

Bryan and Margaret Jarvis, from Broadwater Crescent, were married on July 28, 1962, and last week celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with family and friends.

The couple, originally from Sunderland, moved to WGC 46 years ago, and worked together at pharmaceutical firm Roche, in Broadwater Road – a short walk from their house.

Both now 73 years old, they have two daughters, Karen, 47, and Michelle, 44, and five grand children.

“They’re brilliant parents,” said Michelle. “They’ll do anything for us. They always look after my kids, and mum still cooks a Sunday roast for 10 people every week.

“They do so much for each other as well and I’m very happy for them.”
