WGC is on the verge of becoming a clone town, according to a new report published today (Wednesday).
Nearly half of the shops in the Garden City belong to national or global chains, the New Economics Foundation (nef) says.
This means that WGC, along with 19 other settlements across the UK, is now classed as a border town, where if things don’t improve, its high street will barely distinguishable from the next.
