A Welwyn Garden City charity store is holding a 'Marvel-lous' Geek Week sale.

Comic collectors, manga enthusiasts and Star Wars fans alike will be able to get their hands on a bargain this week as national healthcare charity Sue Ryder holds a ‘Geek Week’ at its Howardsgate store.

Following the success of a similar campaign last summer, the store will be selling a range of books, DVDs, comics, games, memorabilia and fancy dress at competitive prices to support the charity’s neurological care.

Shop manager Becky White said: “Comics, sci-fi and gaming have snowballed in popularity, especially among adults, and that there’s real demand for rare collectors’ items.

“As Welwyn Garden City is yet to open a comic shop, it made sense to run last year’s hugely successful ‘Geek Week’ again to bring a bit of fun and entertainment to the town.”
