The Isabel Hospice store has been open for business in Stonehills, WGC, for two decades.

And on Friday and Saturday, the shop’s volunteers welcomed customers with a special birthday cake and tea.

Shop manager Pam Edwards said “Our shop in WGC was opened in December 1990 and we still have eight of our original volunteers.

“There are currently around 35 volunteers and this includes two youngsters from a local sixth-form.

“They are all valued members of our team, however, the star of the show is Ron Baker, whose expertise over 20 years has helped us to raise thousands of pounds and is the one responsible for our fantastic window displays. We look forward to the next 20 years and would like to thank all of our customers for their ongoing support and should any one wish to join the team please come in and see us.”
