Welwyn Garden City businesses have scooped awards for their super customer service.
The Welwyn Garden City BID (Business Improvement District) held a glitzy awards ceremony last Thursday to announce the results of its mystery shopper ratings.
Over 100 people attended the event at Campus West and were treated to canapes and bubbles.
All businesses have since received feedback from the mystery shopper visits to help improve their customer service.
The overall winner with a perfect score was the Neem Tree Restaurant.
The mystery shopper said: “I would most definitely return to the Neem Tree Restaurant.
“The staff were very friendly, chatty and attentive.
“I had some very tasty food.”
Howard Centre manager Paul Haynes, who is a BID board member, said “These awards help us improve the level of customer service we provide in the town, and they are a great opportunity for businesses to engage with each other, and with their customers.”
Welwyn Hatfield Times editor Nina Morgan, who presented the awards for the professional services category, said: “The evening was a great way of celebrating our local business and the part they play in making WGC such an inviting place to shop.”
The People’s Favourite category was won by Natural Health.
Over 2,500 members of the public cast their vote and one lucky voter, Maria Papachristou, won £100 to spend in WGC.
