A COMPONENTS manufacturer, which has been in WGC for more than 50 years, is set to close - axing 40 local jobs.
Quadrant Engineering, formerly Polypenco, once employed about 300 people on its Bridge Road East site.
However, it has become the latest victim of the credit crunch and is set to close next Friday, September 25.
