A Welwyn Garden City bank has announced a temporary closure.

Barclays, in the Howard Centre, closed to the public on Friday, October 9, at 2pm as it starts a major refurbishment.

The bank will re-open on Tuesday, October 27.

In a poster displayed in its window, the banks tells customers: “Your new style branch is coming soon.

“There’s a lot to get through to prepare for our assisted service counters here at Welwyn Garden City.”

In the meantime, the nearest branches are Town Centre, Hatfield, and at the Forum, Stevenage.
