A Welwyn Garden City performing arts school has been shortlisted for a national award.

Little Voices, which provides performing arts training for youngsters aged four to 18 years old, has been announced as a nominee for the ‘What’s On 4 Kids Awards’.

The awards were launched in 2007 to celebrate the UK’s best activities, class leaders, party providers, places and activity-based products for children – as nominated and voted for by experts, parents and carers.

Little Voices has been nominated in the best franchised/licensed activity for children aged five to 12 category.

The school’s Cherice Mckenzie-Cook said: “We are incredibly proud of this nomination and as we celebrate our 10th anniversary this year we really do want to win this one.

“I would really like to appeal to everyone in the town to vote for us to help us get Little Voices and the incredible work that we do recognised with a trophy.

“Our tutors work so hard and they are so dedicated. This would be a testament to them, our parents that support us week after

week and our pupils who enjoy their lessons and are achieving such fabulous results.”

To vote, log on to www.whatson4littleones.co.uk. More than 100,000 votes are anticipated this year and voting closes on July 3, 2017.
