Teen cyclist in hospital after Welwyn Garden City crash

Police and ambulance attended an accident between a vehicle and a cyclist in Welwyn Garden City.

Police were called by the ambulance service at 10.34am today to assist with a crash in Stanborough Road.

The cyclist, a 16-year-old girl, was found to be conscious and breathing by paramedics.

She was taken to Lister hospital for further care.

Welwyn Hatfield North Police closed Stanborough Road between Osborn Way and Parkway while they assisted the ambulance, but the road has now been reopened.
