On Saturday, June 30, the Welwyn Festival, culminated with a family fun day and fancy dress parade with a circus-themed.

The festival also included a street market, the Welwyn Oscars, musical events in St Mary’s Church and elsewhere, the Welwyn 10k run, open gardens, and a Roman Fun Day.

As well as bringing the community together, the festival has raised more than £80,000 for a number of local charities in the last 14 years.

The charities being supported this year are Waste Not Want Not, Welwyn Friendship Club, St John of God Nursery, St Mary’s Church Preservation Fund, Blood Runners, Welwyn Fernery Group, The Mixed Group and Hertfordshire Air Ambulance.
