A Welham Green resident who can regularly be spotted running up and down the A1000 between Hatfield and Potters Bar is upping the challenge for charity.

Katherine Eames 31, has been running for Alzheimer’s Research UK for two years and is upping her game in April by running the 26.2 mile London Marathon.

Katherine decided to mark the occasion of turning 30 years old by running for the charity, to raise money to find a cure for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Katherine is hosting a pub quiz on Wednesday February 24, at 8pm at The Sibthorpe Arms in Welham Green to raise her goal of £2,000.

There will be maximum teams of six people, show up on the door to enter on the day. There will be a price to enter, with all proceedings going to the charity.
