RESIDENTS in a road in Welham Green came together for a street party to promote good neighbourliness.
The inhabitants of Puttocks Drive had a barbecue, face painting, live music and a DJ set, all in the name of The Big Lunch, a nationwide scheme to encourage more people to get to know their neighbours and instil a greater sense of community in towns and villages across the country.
Several Welham Green shops donated prizes for a raffle, which raised over �60 for Old Hatfield-based charity the Willow Foundation.
Organiser Helen Shearer said: "Our day was a real success.
